Hello ladies and gents.

So my partner has a very old Samsung A50. It still works, but I just think it is time to get him a new phone. I am due for upgrade on my personal Vodacom contract and thinking of getting this mid month special

Samsung Galaxy A25 128GB + 20GB X 1 (H) @ R379 PM (R179 Finance + R200 Sub on Red Flexi 200 (Used to be R429 PM)

The store tells me they are only going on sale on the 18th of January, so I guess I have to wait a bit. It is dual sim and has NFC according to Samsung South Africa site. That is important for me so that he can use Google Wallet. His current Samsung A50 does not have NFC which is a bummer.

I will post my thoughts on the phone once I have it for him. Any of you getting this phone, feel free to post your review or thoughts on the phone here.

Let me know your thoughts.

I’m thinking of getting the A54 5G as a work phone in the next month or so. The A55 is being released soon as well. Decisions, decisions.

Ja...by the time our company phones are due the A55 should be out. I was thinking of just waiting till then. We get to keep our old company phones. I would then give him my A52s. But then I also thought, that means if anything happens to my new work phone, I would have to switch back to my still very much working Xiaomi Redmi 9C. That simply WILL NOT FCKING HAPPEN! I want to freak out when it literally takes 5 seconds just to open up Messages app so I can get my OTP for the Vodacom system logins. Thank God for Messages for web. I will therefore get him the A25 which should meet his needs, considering he is coming from a A50. My A52s will be kept safe and sound and battery topped up now and again to stop degradation for should something happen...god forbid.
 
Yeah same here, current work phone is a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10s, it’s definitely slowing down and those notifications that sometimes never arrive whether it’s WhatsApp, an email or a teams message.
 
what companies do you guys work for?


our company usually gets either base iPhone or base S series each cycle and you can get higher spec but you'll have to pay the difference

Erm....companies that spends on what works well and get the job done within a budget.
 
whats the cash price on the A25? got my mum the A24 and its a great device.
A25 seems a decent improvement.

The A25 seems to be releasing close to the A34 pricing, perhaps look at an A34? Great device as well
 
I checked again and for R20.00 more per month I could get the A34. Went for the A34 instead. Sorry guys....no review from me on the A25.
