I received my Galaxy Nexus today from Handtec and I am unable to download apps from the market. It given an error *** could not be download due to an error. I've cleared cache of market, removed google account and rebooted. I've even tried to download whatsapp directly from their website and apps just don't want to install.

Any advice?

Hey Willem, I know this problem is 9 months old for you, but I'm hoping you might be able to help me. I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and I've had no trouble with Google Play downloads/updates until now :(. I seemed to have messed up a setting - my error reads: "Error downloading "<app name>" and it's for all apps. This happened directly after I force stopped Google Services framework, and cleared the cache in order to get the JB4.1.2 OTA update (as was told to me on another thread here). I'm wondering about how to tweak APN settings (what they are, where to find them, what are the correct settings).
Please if you can help me I would much appreciate it.
thx Steve
