Hi

Can the SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 3 be upgraded to Android 5 (Lollipop) firmware?

My Note3 existing firmware:
Model Number: SM-N9005
Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband Version: N9005XXUGNG1
Kernel Version: KOT49H, N9005XXUGNG1

I tried updating via the update I (Kies) just saying updated version installed.

Please assist me with the links to download the firmware and how to upgrade manually.

Thank you in advance.

Yes, I got it working by downloading the Poland XFM version from Sammobile, then used Odin.

Hi

Thank you for the information

Can I just install or there any steps and procedures to follow?

After having updated my two Samsung Tab S tablets from KitKat to Lollipop, I am no longer interested in upgrading my two Note 3 phones to Lollipop.

I don't think lollipop is all its cracked up to be. There are some nice features, but also some I don't like.
1) The android "clock" app has gone all Apple with its "less is more" interface - very plain and boring.
2) One of my Tablets now on lollipop keeps rebooting when it is working hard - i think the voltage drop on the battery due to the load is too high, and it reboots grrrr
3) Battery drain seems a bit worse

On the plus side, it seems to deal with the SD card much better now. KitKat crippled the SD card too much with restrictions

If I could take my tablets back to kitkat, i would.

I just wish Samsung would quit this race against apple to have the lightest and thinest device. They are light and thin enough already. Now they are so thin their structural integrity are poor and is more prone to bending. But worst of all is the sacrifices they make to their batteries. They should be striving for battery capacity rather than skinny light devices. I would rather have a device 2 mm thicker, but with better batteries

Hi

I have download the version from the link provided: http://galaxynote3root.com/galaxy-no...tock-firmware/

My steps I did:
-I extracted the Odin version 3.09 and the SKZ-N900XXUEBOA6-20150210134439.zip files ( in different folders)
-Powered the phone OFF / Turn it ON by pressing and holding Home + Power + Volume Down
The option showed : -click volume up to continue with download or down to cancel - I clicked the volume up (hope it was correct?)
-I was running odin.exe as administrator - it showed as com6 - after waiting a while
-I clicked the AP button and selected the N900XXUEBOA6_N900OXEEBOA7_N900XXUEBNL6_HOME.tar.md5 file - I waited until the file appeared.
-I then clicked start...it was sitting at "setupconnection" and then it failed.
On the device it showed unsupported device"

I was trying to post screenshot from my laptop...

My phone rebooted successfully...

Please assist... or who can I contact assist... I stay in Bothasig.

thank you, thank you in advance.
