Hi guys.

I just got a Note 5 few days back coming from a Blackberry Priv, and I am astonished by the speed difference... The Note 5 just flies through everything so much faster!

Anyway... I see that the international update for Nougat has been rolling out for a while now, any idea when it is coming to SA, particularly Vodacom?

I see people raving in reviews about all the awesome changes. Can't wait to get it.

Congratulations on your upgrade.

Will be downloading nougat to my fabulous note 5 when I visit Canada next week.

Why wait to get it when you can just load an international Samsung ROM with the Updates using Odin

Vodacom update re Nougat has been out for nearly 2 months.
I updated my Note 5 around beginning of April. 2017.via Sam's mobile.
Check their website for South Africa
( Android v 7.0) Vodacom Rom
Think it's XFV
I can vaguely remember their should be 2 South Africa versions.

What's the Note 5 like compared to the Note 4? Been loving my Note 4 so far.

PS. Travel safely. Post a pic or 2. :)

Thank you McT :)

Absolutely loving the Note 5. Mine replaces a Note 3 and is slimmer and more responsive, the stylus is nicer too.

It was a toss up between the S6/S7 and the Note 5 but I'm very happy with my choice.

Thank you, @maumau. God forbid my Note 4 dies, but this gives me hope :o

Hahaha, i know the feeling :)

Data transfer took minutes samsung to samsung except for whatsapp chats which had to be backed up and then downloaded to the new phone.

I briefly had a Note 4 ... hated the back cover which really felt cheap and the fake stitching got dirty easily - especially the white version. Performance was of course stellar for its time, but the Note 5 wipes the floor with it. I think the only advantage the Note 4 has over the 5 is the removable battery - not that I have experienced in my short time of having the 5 that I needed a backup battery. For upgrade purposes, I'd rather stick it out (unless the next phone also explodes LOL)

Did the upgrade and wow, what a difference. Like the new look. NY the way, I could only find the XFE version of Nougat, but it worked just fine. Start to finish was less than 15 mins

It does not matter if you flash
XFV or XFE .
I flashed XFE a few times on my Note5.
No issues.
XFE Rom has multi CSC, which includes XFV. Any way Rom is also Vodacom branded.!
Good luck.
