Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Seems a bit better

Will see how it goes. Should improve over next few days.

Would you guys recommend the note 5?

My Note 3 is reaching the end of it's life and R 15 000 is too much to pay for a new model. Takealot have note 5 for R 10 000.

If you can get a 64GB Note5 I'd say go for it OR even a S6 Edge Plus, which is essentially a Note5 less the SPen but with dual Edge 5.7inch display, again, get a 64GB, as both Note5 and S6E Plus don't have expandable memory and as a mate of mine with Note5 realised, that 32GB can run low quickly if you are a heavy media consumer.

Cool, thank you Tsepz_011.

I would rather go for an LG V20 than a Note 5. On the V20 you can

1) Change out the battery for a fresh one
2) Put an SD card in for extra memory
3) Run the very latest Android Nougat out the box
4) Have two cameras on the rear, including a wide angle lens

I have a Note 5 that's over a year old.

1. I haven't had the need to change the battery for a fresh one.
2. I don't need more than 32GB. I don't put lots of useless stuff on my phone.
3. I'm running the latest Note 7 firmware on it. (who needs Nougat?)
4. I still don't see the use for two cameras at the back.

Bought a Note 5 :) and very happy so far. I realise it's been out for a while but that doesn't bother me.

@surfs-up, tks but stuck with Samsung because - all my devices.

There's no replacement for the Note 5, so I'm still keeping mine.
Upgrade due on the 1st of January but no other phone can replace my Note 5.

Loving it so far. Busy day....

As always, smoother and more responsive. Really like the new notifications. No issues in last 24 hours. Battery seems about the same.

I would dump n7 firmware and jump to nougat. A lot better. I did a dirty flash and no issues. Only one I had was calender storage crashed one 1st boot, cleared data and all sorted.

So you copied the firmware on OTG flashdrive any then flashed using TWRP?

I am running with the dev base one. No mods at all. Just dumped from the user who got the update with tweaks to make it work.

Been using android.wiz firmware(link from this am) for a while and very happy with his work.

Part of his telegram group as well. A lot more get shared there and quicker release/fixes.

Does your s-pen work with the Rom you flashed?
