I had a wierd one with the wifi - My Galaxy S3 was working just fine untill this morning. Suddenly it couldn't see my router, whatever I tried. I've had this phone for about a month now and haven't had a problem with it since I got it.
I finally found a posting on the web -

Seems there is a issue with the wifi on the Galaxy S3. no one knows what is causing it - but there is a qucik fix that works most of the time.
1. Open up the Galaxy S3 phone dialer
2. Then dial *#0011#
3. Look for the “ServiceMode” screen and press the left menu button
4. Select “WiFi”
5. You should see that the “WiFi Power Save Mode” button is “ON” – now put it on “OFF”
6. Exit the menu, switch off your WiFi, then switch it back on again. If your router details are saved and automatically connects, get your Galaxy S3 to forget or delete the network information. Then reconnect, putting in all the required information.
I also went into Advanced WiFi and Set the WiFi Frequency band to 'Auto' instead of '5 Ghz only'.
That seemed to do the trick.
I'm going to keep an eye on this and will post if it happens again.
