hmmm, it looks nice... but 4.6inches is gettting a little big. IMO the SGSII is a perfect size for mobility and good enough screen size.

I will have to see how big this thing really is before deciding.

Those pics look more than S than S2?

So the Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE was now renamed to Samsung Galaxy S2 HD ?

Anyone have news on when the Samsung Galaxy S2 HD2 MP LTE P9900-07ZX with the projector will come out?

Yowza. Nice specs. When I'm eligible for upgrade in 18 months, I wonder what Galaxy S specs will be by then. For now, my Precious SGS still suits me just fine.

It's just a different radio Samsung puts in the phone. We don't have a lot of LTE penetration yet, so it will be a HSDPA radio. They do the same thing in the States.

The Galaxy S2 and S2 HD are very different - that QHD Super Amoled display looks simply insane. Just compare the two phones in that photo....look at where the time widget sits on the S2 and where it is on the S2 HD.

Someone else mentioned it will be too big....come on! The phones are almost exactly the same size, except the S2 HD actually looks thinner than the S2. Same thing happened when HTC moved up from the Desire HD to the Sensation and Evo 3D. Bigger screens, but actually looks smaller.

Was actually wondering why Samsung released the S2 with the "old" screen resolution.

The Galaxy S+ will be entry level, S2 will be a mid range phone & HD the crown jewel. Well, that will be till next year, when the quad core phones start to surface. Gotta love technology.

You're all making quite a lot of assumptions here, Samsung haven't announced this phone for any market outside of Korea, more likely they'll release something else for us. I'm guessing the Galaxy Nexus will be it.

No, they'll just change the radio from LTE to HSPA+. All manufacturers do it. ;)

Any screen over 4.3 inches is too big for me. Sorry

Look at the first pic I posted....the two phones are almost IDENTICAL in size (the HD actually looks a bit slimmer), but you're getting almost a third screen real estate extra with the HD resolution.

I really don't understand your post.

There is no way they are the same sized scale.

edit: The phone on the left isn't a standard S2. It's the LTE, meaning a 4.5 inch screen.

I doubt if the phone size is bigger.

The home button is a dead giveaway.

Samsung simply squeezed more screen in the same frame.

Hi all, Nate here, just joined the site after reading this and felt like adding my 2 cents. I am on Vodacom and am due for an upgrade in December. I have decided that my upgrade will go to either the iPhone 4S (provided I will not have to pay in anything extra in the beginning) and the Samsung Galaxy S2. Now that I see this, I would prefer getting the HD if it is here by December, or next year March. Any one of you guys got the ETA on this HD version ?
Best Regards,
Nate :)

Welcome. AFAIK, the Galaxy HD is only available in Korea and not globally. Even if it does launch globally, I doubt it will be here by December. What you might get here by December is the Galaxy Note.

Alright, thank you for the quick reply. I really hope that they release an HD version here, I'll wait until next march if I have to to get my hands on it. Which is better in your opinion, the SGS2 or the Galaxy Note ?
Regards,
Nate
