Please don't drink the Apple cool aid .. Samsung S2 is not only legal and available despite Apple's best efforts, it's actually a much better phone that the iPhone. The S3 is even better and in a much more advanced class than Apple's crap.

Don't listen to evilstebunny.

After the lawsuit it is ILLEGAL for you to own a variety of Samsung products, including the Galaxy SII.

Luckily for you, as a policeman, I have arranged a service where you can hand in your Samsung to me, under an official amnesty. But you must do this before the end of the month.

Well not even samsung kies is working correctly with the samsung galaxy s2...and it finds a software update, but in the end it says its not supported by phone...and my phone's whole os gingerbread is crashing, and ther's nothing to do about it...so what do u suggest i do...

Wait, hold on... Is this for real?

Firstly, we have nothing to do with US courts and their judgments... Just because it's gone Apple's way there, doesn't mean that it's the same here... And in any case, the US network providers have different variants and versions of the phones available internationally... Just cause your S2 isn't updating to ICS, which should have happened long ago, doesn't mean there is issues with the handset in SA. In many respects, it's still one of the greatest phone available here, giving the iPhone a fat klap... If it's really an issue about updating the phone, take it to Sumsung Service Centers to have them look at it. They'll even update it for you.... If not, Root the phone, and flash your own firmware which can be downloaded from Sammobile or XDA.... Personally, I'd go the second option, as I believe the S2 phone only has a 12month warranty if purchased before March 2012, I think....
