Hi guys,

Is anyone else experiencing the following problem?

When I hide my caller ID (call settings > additional settings > caller ID > hide number) and try to make a call it starts acting like it is dialing the number and then before the call even connects it says "call ended". As soon as I change back to "set by network" it dials fine.

I initially thought it was the Polish JB ROM I had flashed but I see I still get this error with the latest French JB flashed. I cannot say I ever tried it with the stock ICS ROM that came with my phone from MTN so I don't know if it was an issue then. I am trying to establish if this is an MTN issue (I am on an Anytime 350 Topup contract), a JellyBean issue or an issue with the specific ROM I have used. Or what else could it be?

Anyone else experiencing this?

Part of the contracts usually is CLIP - calling line identification presentation

Yeah, I get this but for every previous contract, on all the phones I have had, if you choose to hide your number (for instance when you need to get hold of someone who is clearly avoiding you) you can do so. And I was on the Anytime packages with MTN on my previous phone too and before that on whatever the packages were before that and each contract included CLIP.

And someone confirmed the other day that they were able to hide their outgoing ID on their SGS3, so I'm wanting to find out whether it is certain packages, certain firmwares or what.
