My wife has a s3 mini, and I can not get it to vibrate when I type with it. Is it possible? I tried every setting I could find, nothing.

Anyone knows?

Its called Haptic Feedback.

May have to google where the setting is.

I'm using CM10.1

Go to : Settings > Sound.

Because the S3 Mini runs Jelly Bean, there are more settings now.

Check Vibration intensity, Device vibration & select Haptic Feedback under those settings.

I tried all the above, none worked. Seems like it was removed from the operating system? It's really strange.

Is she using the standard Samsung keyboard, or SwiftKey?

For SwiftKey you need to go in the keyboard settings and change it there.

she uses the standard keyboard, with nou such setting. Will look into swiftkey. Thanks

Don't worry about SwiftKey, I use it, but you must pay for it.

If she is using the standard keyboard, then you switch haptic feedback on under Settings > Sound.

There's not such a setting. You talking about the mini, right?

I have the S3 Mini and don't like haptic feedback. However, I just checked and it seems there is no such setting on the standard keyboard.

There is on Swiftkey though. You do have to pay for it, but it's actually worth it seeing as it's a much better keyboard than the standard one. Much easier to use IMO.

(Interestingly, I've had to reinstall Swiftkey 3 times, twice on my tablet and once on the Mini due to having to do a factory reset. Every time I reinstall it seems my free 30 day trial period starts over. So it seems they cannot track whether it's the first time you install it or not. So, theoretically you could delete it ever 30 days and reinstall and never have to pay. I'm just saying)

Swiftkey is totally worth the price.

Except it wouldn't be cool. Why deprive the developer of the best mobile keyboard on earth a sale? Price is totally reasonable.
