Samsung Galaxy S4

I currently have the Galaxy Note 1, and am possibly thinking of going for this, the S4... There something about having a bigger than usual phone that get's on your nerves... I guess I'm over the "mine is bigger than yours" story, so functionality over aesthetics is more my thing these days.... But it's best to wait and see what they'll bring out, as they might change spec just before the world release, so anything is possible...

Screen size can go up without increasing phone size - see xperia z, bigger screen smaller phone (not thinner though)

The big screen and powerful CPU will suck the 2600mAh battery dry. What these new mobile phones like the Samsung Galaxy S4 really need is a dual battery set-up. These things die way too quickly. Especially when you are busy playing with the phone.

Err.. That link confirms what I said. It's just a live feed. They won't have any info the rest of the world can't access.

Well, it's just like any other phone launch.

After the launch via live feed, GSMArena will have the technical specs up on their web site and you'll be able to see tons of "hands-on" videos on YouTube.

Not after the launch, during the launch. Live coverage of major tech events has been going on for years now. And sites like Engadget, Gizmodo and Boy Genius Report will be faster than GSM Arena.

You're a difficult customer to please.

I'm sure The Verge and Engadget will have live feeds of the event, and it might also be streamed via Samsung's YouTube account. I'm sure Samsung will make sure everybody knows about it. :)

The Galaxy S4 spec page on GSMArena is already up : http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s_iv-5125.php

Not actually. Bigger is better! There are other product lines that have smaller displays, if galaxy S is getting too big for you, look elsewhere, eg the S mini

I think you'll find that most people prefer 4.3" phones. It's the perfect size. 5" is just too big for a phone. But hey, each to his own.

Why am I difficult to please? These sorts of events receive excellent coverage. I'm very pleased.

The S3 is 4.8", and I love the screen size. 5" sounds great to me, as I wouldn't want the physical dimensions of the phone to change much, but a slightly larger screen would be nice. The S3 is very pocketable and fits perfectly in my hand. Definitely wouldn't want a smaller phone.

When I play around with a friend's iPhone 5, the screen seems horrible and cramped. And that's 4".
