Samsung Galaxy S5

Restarting watch fixed normal notifications but nothing is helping for notify gear (really sucks cause it is awesome).

they probably need to upgrade to support 5.0

i'm back on standard notifications by the way... didn't like notify gear so much

If I could get more details and more vibration I would stick to standard one.
bloody 1 truncated line at a time sucks.

Anyone got the star icon on the right hand side of their status bar?

I googled and people are saying it's airpush so I downloaded airpush detector and it says everything is fine. I see others mentioned its got to do with do not disturb, as far as I can see i'm not on DND and I see nothing in settings about DND either. Another suggestion was to use the volume key to get rid of it but I see nothing there about it and adjusting the volumes of things makes no difference.

Any ideas?

oops.. it's the notifications setting - if you drag down at the top there's an icon near the end (depending on your arrangement of course) that cycles through "All" (no entry sign greyed) "Priority" (star) "None" (no entry sign coloured in)

think it's to do with my "Automator" app that is supposed to put silent on at night.

It's blocking mode

Lollypop you can prioritise apps.

Sweet, so Lollipop works perfectly here and I won't lose my warranty if I flash my phone? Here's a screenshot of what I've got: http://imgur.com/6AxpGyw

And does it matter that I'm with MTN through Altech Autopage?

Haha I'd really like to get L, but I'm terrified of bricking my phone. Never tinkered with a phone before, only my PC.

It's really very straight forward, you can't brick the phone if it's an official Samsung firmware....well, unless you unplug the cable while Odin is busy installing the ROM on your phone. :)

I am busy downloading the Poland XEO ROM now, and it even give you the installation instructions again on samfirmware.com - too easy.

It won't even brick then. Because you still need to boot the phone in to update mode. I accidentally pulled the cable out last night while it was copying across.

Famous last words! There is a great possibility to brick the phone if the power goes off. That is why you need quite a lot of battery life (at least 50%) and flash from a laptop or PC on UPS. Having said that, Sammy phones are renowned for being very difficult to brick and you really have to be a special kind of stupid.
