Samsung Galaxy S5

I know this is a heck of a long shot, but I can't get data working on my S5. It's the LTE version G900F and I'm running the latest 4.4.2 ANE2 software after an OTA update. But I put the same sim into my Note 8 which is also the LTE version running 4.1.2 and it works fine, I'm getting H+ most of the time.

Thing is, I'm in Liberia using a local sim and the network is HSPA enabled so I've switched my phone to GSM/WCDMA. But why would it work on the Note 8 and not on the S5? I can call okay, sms okay when I check the balance using USSD code I've got 8gb sitting there waiting to be used if I can get a signal

Any obscure or stupid suggestion is most welcome. It's doing my head in trying to figure it out.

Make sure the APN's are the same

Collectiv popped up as an install option on my phone last night.

Anyone find anything fun in this collective of "free" stuff?

Wiredin seems as if it may or may not be handy (local radio stations) and is the only thing I have actually downloaded. The DSTV Supersport thing seems to allow you some highlights if you are not a DSTV subscriber, the rest seems to pretty much all be free stuff repackaged.
Some f the Vouchers simply do not work though (need something called Mikz that is not available in South Africa).

I got the Mikz thing to work. Seems like it is one of those you might get a voucher things
first 20 customers this, first 50 that etc.

Can you believe it, got it working after 2 weeks :D

I re-entered all of the text in the APN and noticed that where I had to type 'default' it had a space after it (thanks Swiftkey), so I deleted the space and voila. I've got my baby back in action :D :D

Man, how I missed that gorgeous screen xxxx

Checked and rechecked :erm:

Glad you are sorted! Enjoy matey

Hi guys, I'm upgrading from Note 2 to S5 in a day or two, and would like to put a stock based rooted ROM on from the get-go - mostly to freeze unwanted apps.

Can someone recommend a specific ROM?

Aw c'mon, have a heart. How are you meant to know if there is a space after a word looking at it in the list of settings, or even if it would affect the whole APN. Yeah, thinking about that.... I think I'll keep my mouth shut and enjoy

Me using stock and TB doing the rest of the work for me. I am not done freezing apps, but the list grows as the bloat asks to be updated.

Hi guys.

I am currently using a S3. I am looking at either getting the S5 or Note 3. Do anyone have experience with both? Differences seem minimal.

Hi

Do u think my battery is stuffed?

Any way to test?

There is another screenshot where your usage is summarized. Post that too. Last night I had horrible drain again as a result of poor network conditions. You might have had the same problem

I think you have the same problem as I did - poor network. The mobile network signal should be a solid green for good network. The phone struggles all the time to get a good signal - even bouncing between towers and that causes drain. Test it over the next week or so. I don't think anything is wrong with the battery
