Samsung Galaxy S6

Looks too much like an S4... Edge looks nice, but I don't see much of an improvement really... So nothing to get excited about...
Improvement over what? :erm:

Read the specs? Its an improvement in every way. QHD display, metal and glass unibody design, true octa-core 64bit processor, rewritten TW from the ground up... The list goes on.

clueless he is.

anyhoo, i'm skeptical about that TW rewrite... that one screenshot had a TW homescreen on it, and it looked the same as it does now... hopefully that's just the launcher... which I don't care for in any case.

2 days to go.

If they've decoupled elements of the TouchWiz framework down to application level, that will be hugely impressive.

Haven't read the whole thread. Anyone know when, more or less, it'll be available locally?

What'd you choose if you were due for an upgrade now? Samsung, Sony, HTC, something else?

It's between the HTC M9 for me or the S6.

Leaning strongly toward the S6, as it has a much better display over the M9 (if the rumours turn out to be true).

Thanks guys :)

I would choose the Samsung. This is the biggest jump that Samsung has made since the S2 -> S3, as far as rumours go. To be confirmed tomorrow. 19 hours to go ;)

Hi guys,

I've been reading this thread front to back in keen anticipation!

What are the pro's & cons of the S6 Edge vs the S6 - this is the one aspect that I didn't manage to fully wrap my head around as of yet?

Will the fact that there is no expandable memory available, be a deal breaker?

The Note 3 has 32GB onboard memory, and for most people that is sufficient.
If you want to load all the songs ever brought out between 1970 and 2015, or load about 50 full HD movies, a Micro SD may be advisable, but otherwise the onboard memory should be enough.
