Any thoughts on this guys?

MTN has it going for R 199.00 x 24. 75mb x 12. R 100.00 airtime & 25 free sms's pm.

But I only have my frigging VC contracts up for renewal! :(
 
Can I just point out its a tablet not a phone, should they not be doing data only contracts ?

I know MTN is braindead but seriously..
 
Actually it does have a phone but uses speakerphone.

You can use bluetooth headset for more privacy.

I took the upgrade option which is R229 pm for R100 anytime airtime with 150mb data bundle for 12 months & 25 sms pm.

Really enjoying screen real estate with full flash supported browsing.

I believe the 10.1 Tab does not have a builtin phone.

It's in their latest yello catalogue. Valid from 17 - 31 July though.

Not really looking to use this as a phone. Already have 2 other phones doing that job. Would have preferred the 10 inch tab because I want to use it for ebooks etc. But looking at the price on the 10 inch... eish.

Not really bothered about the 75megs of data either. Have my CellC 5 gigs to use should I go in for it.

can i just point out that you can use airtime as data.

I think that on the MTN anytime contracts, there is some rule that you may only use 20% of the monthly value towards data, or they will charge you normal data fees for anything above that.
 
Hi...apologies for bumping this old thread, but can someone tell me if it's worthwhile getting this tablet for my 13 year old son. It's on special at Vodacom for R 135 a month and I am due for an upgrade on my current contract. I was planning on getting the Google Nexus for him , but I'm not sure whether to wait or get this on special. It's mostly for him to watch videos, play games, read ebooks and keep his hands off my kindle. Some advice please :)

Or you could buy mine for R2000. It's just gathering dust. Great condition.
