Hi everyone!

I have a Z Flip4 (just over 6 months old) and the screen protector is starting to bubble up on the right side of the fold crease. Left side looks to be threatening the same kind of bad behaviour...

What can I do about it? I believe the screen protector is meant to remain on the screen for a reason and that only trained individuals can replace it.

Any advice will be helpful.

I bought my screen protector from the Samsung store but I would not buy the screen protector from them again.

They had a brand called Panzer Glass, the feel of it is very similar to the preinstalled screen protector but it does not stick well to the crease, started bubbling after a few days. They replaced it for free but the same thing happened, so I'm guessing there's a problem with that brand.

I've seen how the screen protector was applied and it's the same method as every other phone.

I haven't gotten around to replacing my screen protector so I'm not sure which brand sticks well to the crease but you can check Amazon as they have a wide range available for the phone, you can also go to Vodacom and get a screen protector made but I'm not sure of the quality.
 
I was hoping that there would be an expert at the store who can assist with replacing it correctly to prevent any further damage.
 
I own a Fold 3 and tried to have the inner screen protector replaced at Samsung. It was a complete joke. Cost of replacement was R800. I asked if they had done this replacement before, and they said many times. Store ordered the replacement and asked me to come in. Dropped off the phone, came back 5 hours later only for them to tell me they ordered the wrong replacement. Ok, mistakes happen, I left it at that. However, before they had verified the replacement they pulled off the existing protector and then attempted to stick it back on!! You can imagine what a dogs breakfast that now looked like. A couple weeks later they asked me to come back as they now had the correct replacement. Dropped my phone off, came back a few hours later, and it looked just as bad as when I dropped it off!! Asked them WTF happened, their excuse was that they didn't know there is a jig that comes with the replacement and they only found this out afterwards. Now I'm really losing my marbles over this. Come back in another few weeks later and they tried again. Protector still had bubbles all over, so I demanded a refund instead.
I ended up ordering the Whitestone Dome with jig and replaced it myself. Took me 20 minutes and it came out perfectly. Had it on now for around a year and no issues yet.
Samsung support in South Africa is an absolute joke.
 
Wow. Just, wow...

This is something I'm concerned about - the complete lack of support and only making things worse when trying to sort it out.

I really didn't think the bubbling would happen this soon, or at all, really.

Hahaha! I am actually currently considering this "solution".

My sister has been an avid iPhone user for the last 10 years or so and has been trying to get me to join her so I expect to be given a very hard time when she finds out...

If so, their website is misleading with the range of trade in offers shown (even if "up to").
 
Let's see if it's reasonable enough to get me to switch.

Today I went to Vodacom to get their screen protector fitted.

So far it's pretty good. Will have to wait and see how well it sticks to the crease.

The price is very decent, R299.

That is very reasonable.
 
I use my S8 without a protector, only protection is the Spigen Liquid Air Armor case.
