Samsung GIO - Remove slide to unlock?

I have a Samsung GIO,

I would like to remove the "slide to unlock" feature as it's freakin annoying, especially in the morning when the alarm goes off, you can barely see as you have just woken up and try to switch the freakin thing off and you slide and miss and slide and miss, then 3rd time lucky you finally get the thing open to switch the alarm off.

Slide to open works well on apple devices but sucks on the cheaper Samsung phones.

Dont think its actually possible to remove the lock screen, its after all the lock screen. Only option i can find on my droid is the timeout.
You may need to put on a custom rom if you wish to do that.

Try widget locker, will let you customize the lock screen which may help, its like $2 with many options.

1 Thing I will say is the GIO sucks, my alarm triggers above my lock screen, no need to unlock to shut off the alarm.

Or go all the way and replace touchwiz with Go Launcher EX.

It's got a fabulous ICS themed lockscreen add-on.

Using No Lock Screen it's brilliant, never going back to that stupid lock screen again.
