Hey Guys

I'm trying to connect to the internet from a laptop connected to a Samsung L760 via bluetooth. I've done this many times before but never on Vista and with this samsung model.

The modem works, ie. i can query it and it responds 100%. It seems the number I'm dialing doesn't work on this phone.

I've tried *99#, *99*1# and *99***1#. In all cases the phone does respond but it is unable to connect to the internet.

The 1st profile on the phone is VLive! with "vlive" as the APN. I've also created a third profile called internet.GPRS using the "internet" APN.

It is a Vodacom sim and internet works on the phone itself with both the vlive and internet APN's.

I really think the problem is the number I'm trying to dial. Does anyone know of another way of doing it?

All help greatly appreciated.

Just use *99#.

Go into Device Manager, right click on Computer and choose properties, then click Device Manager at the top left.

Now look for the Samsung Modem under modems or similar.

Right click the modem and choose properties look for a tab called "extra initialization command" and enter the following:

AT+CGDCONT=1,"ip","internet" (you could try changing internet to vlive as well, not sure if it's the same though)

I'm really curious if it worked for you? ;)

hehe... will def do it tonight and let you know. :)

I'm sure it will work as the modem is working. I also think that's how I got my apple mac to work with my phone.
