Samsung has unveiled its first NVMe-based portable SSD, the X5.

The X5 uses Thunderbolt 3 technology to deliver fast performance, while being housed in a durable case which features a metal frame, said Samsung.

Crazy stupid prices... Although they will come down substantially as NVMe becomes more mainstream. It's just a case of exercising patience and restraint. Let the early adopters waste their money first.
