Samsung LCD (sound problems)

Hi all

Hope someone can help. My dad bought a Sansui LCD tv, but when watching SABC 2 the sound change on every advert from stereo to something else and brings up a message on the tv saying nistereo or something like that.
He then return the TV and bought a samsung LCD 32". Now when watching SABC 2 some programs has terable sound quality, but when an advert starts the sound go back to normal.
I`m sure there must be a setting somewhre, any ideas.
By the way its normal SABC not DSTV.

Nicam stereo?
Yes, I had (it is now broken) a sansui crt. It can detect the sound, stereo or mono. This is nothing to worry about. SABC transmits stereo on programs and mono on adverts - mostly. This change is displayed when it transistions to adverts and again back to programs.

Keep your sansui(at your own peril) if the sound is good and the little text that tells you what the audio is does not bother you too much.

Next time i'm buying sony, philips etc

Not sure about the sound problems on your samsung lcd - I'd take it back.
