I have a 5300 and it plugs in to the router and you can play any thing from the server or PC.
Just select what you want with the TV remote, you have to share on your PC and server .
Is there any way of connecting your tv to your pc via the enthernet port? I downloaded the samsung all share software but its not picking up the tv and on the tv. The Network test faild. MAC Error. Why? Help!
Just plug it in to the router and it should work.
I just tried my D550 and it works fine and it is not a smart TV.
The content you want to watch on the PC you will have to share.
Switch on all share in the TV menu.
Not to sure about windows XP but it works fine with windows 7.
I have windows 7 but I'm not connected to the internet. Will it still work (only for streaming movies) and wgats the best router to buy. NOTE. I have a FreeNas Home Server and and i7 for day-to-day use. Any suggestions? Tnx
AFAIK the UA46C5000QR is not a smart TV so i dont think you can load plex on it.
never used FreeNas not sure if all share will work with it, i use windows home server on my server, hope some one here can advise on that.
is your Nas connected straight to your PC ??
Ok what router are you using ?
Make sure all share is switched on in the TV menu.
You will have to check if the router supports all share.
Seems your router is not recognizing the TV , just check the cord used to connect TV first.
most new routers support all share.
Allshare is terrible, easiest and best I've found is http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/about/. I tried others as well but they were more complicated and also didn't pick up my TV so easily.
