Is there any way / website to verify if a Samsung mobile phone is legit and local stock with warranty etc... when buying from a private person?

This would be for a new sealed product so I am assuming details available on box would be IMEI & serial number...

Those are actually faked nowadays as well. You'd need to be able to open the box and check a few things. But honestly on the outside the fakes are pretty convincing, one tell tale sign is that the extra cameras are just glued on lenses that are blue.
