I recently purchased a Note 3. The phone was not connecting more than 50% of the time even in good cellular areas such as center of Cape Town. I was advised to switch off LTE which I have done and this has improved things but the reception is still poor and I am regularly losing data signal. You should not have to switch off LTE after you have paid so much to have a phone with this capability.

I am now considering taking the phone back. Although the new functionality is great and the screen is amazing, if you can't connect to make a basic phone call or receive an email then I can't keep this phone.

Its always best to check for best coverage before buying a device to use on a network.
Dont know if the retailer will take the device back with those reasons but im quite sure you can offload the device to a second hand buyer

Same thing i posted in your other thread.

You do realize that LTE will be an issue on ALL devices right? Not just an issue with the Note 3 specifically...I did one now on a smart red VIP @R2000pm. Absolutely no issues whatsoever on it. Ive also got a personal unit from Samsung have had no issues. Just change the APN setting to normal 3G, and select the right band frequency for Vodacom. Done, dusted.

If you don't remember the massive fails we had with the iPhone 5's in december last year and beginning of Jan this year when users were on LTE and calls would continually be dropped. Easily fixed with a software update and removing of the LTE options.

Also, cellucity will not take the device back. We cannot do anything with a used device.
