Samsung Odyssey Ark

For a gaming monitor it is expensive, but it does have more bells and whistles than the ordinary 'premium' gaming monitor, besides, I have seen it put to productivity use, and it is pretty great in that segment since it is a 4-1. Pending on how you put it to use is how much it will cost you.

It looks awesome, but Samsungs previous Odyssey monitors had pretty disappointing reviews considering the price. Hopefully this one is better.

When is the transparent TVs coming to SA? LG last year's showcased it but I haven't seen it yet in SA.

The CSI stuff right here.....

Personally I do not see any use for it in terms of gaming or even working. But it does look cool though.

Without the need for a backbox or lighting unit, you can make transparent monitors so much thinner and lighter.
Makes it more portable and takes less desk space which has its uses.
Delivery cost won't be so high as the box isn't as heavy or big so there should be a cost saving there.

When the screen is off it is transparent. More applications of where you can put it. An average monitor in the middle of the room is ugly. A transparent screen you could sit in the middle of a room and not look bad as you can have something visually pleasing behind it like a shelf of things you collect or a fish tank.
Can be useful if you live in a small open-plan apartment and invite people over.

What about having the screen on all the time with your calendar, to-do list, shopping list or whatever?
