Hey guys
Ok so I bought a new screen and I am now using my old Samsung P2270 on my laptop. The laptop (HP Compac nc6320) only has a VGA plug, not DVI. So I used a converter. I have the resolution set to max (1080P).
My problem is that I can see prominent white (or gray) horizontal lines (especially for dark text). I have read that I should adjust the course setting on the monitor but that doesn't help at all. I have also tried adjusting the brightness and contrast, with no avail. The only thing I can think of is that it is an external factor, ie I have 17 Speakers in my room, and one of them is a big subwoofer with a strong magnet, I know that screens and magnets don't go well together. But they are all rather far from the screen.
Look here is a photo I took with a camera (HAHA a screenshot would have been such a fail.):
I would really appreciate any help
EDIT: What the! I just realized that if I move the cable around (the physical VGA cable) the lines (or ghosts) get better and worse. I am confused...
