Hi all
How is everyone doing.

I might be doing something wrong , i don't know.
I have the PS43D450 and it is a GREAT TV.

I change picture settings, i change it to Movie and change the contrast down.

Then like after 15 mins the TV just goes black and sets back to the default setting - Dynamic and contrast to 100.

Am i doing something wrong, how do i save or permanently set the picture settings

Your set is probably in "store mode". Check the manual to find how to change to "home mode".

Is there also the possibility that my HD PVR is overwriting the settings each time ?
 
I had the same issue on a Samsung LCD, a firmware upgrade sorted it out.
 
When you start up the TV for the first time there is a setting asking if the TV should change the setting to "dynamic" every 10 minutes. Click no. I think your TV is set to Store Mode.
 
Damn the salesmen with their bright stores and torch mode screens. :D

They obviously tend to not set the plasmas to torch mode. Only the LCDs and LED-LCDs are lucky enough. :cool:
