So I'm considering getting rid of mine in favour of the FHD model.

What could I realistically expect for mine? It's 3 months old with POP and is in perfect nick.

Shot.

hehe ...

20-25% less than current retail?

Lol, you really think this is funny don't you?

I reckon I'd take 7K if offered.

Who would offer you R7000 for a second hand tv that currently cost R8000 new.

Why did you buy the tv in the first place? You should do more research in the future when buying big ticket items.

What???

I'm pretty sure I can buy and sell anything I want if I want to.

Go troll another thread rather eejit...

I think you should be looking closer to R6500 mark, people are finicky over something second hand. Unless you look at Junkmail but you going to get a lot of smses.

Juggy, unfortunately Dolby is probably about on the money.... you're looking at 20-25% less than the current retail value if you want to sell the tv now.

That is reasonable but who attempts to sell anything for the price they really want anyway? Always go in a little higher, basic sales tactics one-on-one, leaves space for negotiating.

Anyways, only reason I want the FHD is because the wife prefers the finish. It's all about how it looks with wimmin...

Doubt you'll get more than 5k for it, 2nd hand tech goes for ridiculously low prices. Sorry mate, Jakes has a point.

That's rediculous, I've been buying and selling second stuff for years so I know what's cutting.

That's the same price as the 42" new so no, a bit out actually.

Considering I sold a 42" 480P plasma about 3 months ago that was 4 years old for R3500.

Of course you can but I think its a bit silly to buy a tv and then sell it after 3 months because of something as negligible HD vs. FHD. If you read the tv threads you would know that most sources are 720p and that you would need to sit 2.5m from your 50" to see the difference.

And on that note I'm not even going to bother to respond anymore to anything you say.

Thats O.K. I understand where you come from, I would be pissed off too if I was selling my TV after 3 months because the wife doesn't like the finish. LOL stop being so grumpy its not the end of the world.

The money doesn't bother me, it's your idiotic responses that seem to irritate me the most. I suppose there will always be "those" kinds of people on this earth no matter how capable the lifeguard is in the gene pool.

It seems to me that you only want certain replies...
If the money doesn't bother you, why not sell it for 50% and make someone very happy...
