Hi all.
This TV is on special for R9700 for a 50 inch (TAL daily deal).
Anyone have one and can give me a thumbs up?

I currently have a 55inch 1080p LG that is about 7 years old and it is slow as **** and driving me mad. Smart functions barely useable as HD on YouTube stutters and just keying in search strings is slow. I have to use the XBox for smart functions.

Main use cases is streaming Netflix/YouTube and light gaming on Xbox Series S.

If it runs Tizen you WILL be disappointed. I'm not buying Samsung again thanks to their OS. It's very limiting.
That said your use case should be fine.

Gaming will be in 60hz apparently.
What's wrong with Tizen?

It's horribly limited and buggy. That said ive not used a decent Android TV yet, but I suppliment my Tizen with a Pi for downloads etc. I'd recommend an android box in addition if you want a better experience.
I've had a Tizen for a couple of years and no issues. Only thing missing is that there isn't a F1TV app

I have its predecessor, the Q60T. No complaints this side

We have different needs.
I play stuff from NAS for example. The constant popup nag to allow a visitor's android device to connect is annoying. Having to always remove and re-add my PC to stream from it (PC) is annoying. The buggy YouTube casting from my phone is annoying. YouTube often buffers when livestreaming yet plays perfectly on other devices - I often resort to playing YT from PC with screen mirroring for this reason.

I though you only just got Tizen? I recall you asking for help a couple of months ago in another thread.

I play stuff on Plex and YouTube all the time, never had an issue. Why don't you just use the native YT app?

I bought the TV on 2020 Black Friday.

Whew - I have extensive use of Android TV and I prefer Tizen. I have a RealMe 4K Google TV that I use as well.

However, I've never had freezing or slow downs or anything bug related at all . When it came out in 2019, it was the most comprehensive platform.

I could do Apple TV - which an Android TV couldn't
I could do Google Movies - which Apple TV couldn't
I could do proper UHD/4K/60fps YouTube - which Apple TV couldn't
I could do HDR10+ - which Apple TV couldn't
I could Netflix Dolby Atmos - which Android TV couldn't

etc etc

Using a Q80R 70inch with Tizen and no issues with the software at all prior to that used a KS8000 again no issues with Tizen

I don't have an issue with the OS on my Q70T. Most apps feel snappy and responsive, the ones that aren't I blame the developers for, Showmax and Amazon Prime come to mind. Spotify, YouTube, Apple TV & Netflix I use almost daily without issues.

Thanks all.
I think I am going to stick to Samsung. This LG of mine has really put me off and its not just the sluggishness.

I'd love to get a Q70 but the price is a bit steep (R6k more for same size) and I don't think I will use the 120hz. I do have a console that can do 120hz but tbh I hardly touch it and when I do, I don't think I will notice the difference for the games I play. I mainly use my PC for games that require high refresh.

It seems like the 2021 versions end with the 'A' (Q60A) and the 2022 versions 'AA'?
I see Tafelberg has the 55 inch Q60A for 11999 which I am quite keen on but just investigating what is new on the Q60AA.

You guys do know that Tizen has a device manager so when it does feel a little laggy you go in and clear the memory its under the settings ribbon right to the end.
