Hi guys
Anyone else experience backlight bleed issues, especially on dark scenes. I notice beams of light shining from the top and bottom of the screen.
Backlight setting turned down all the way to 5 from max 20 and its clearly visible, but at 5 the picture looks dull. I bought it at Sounds Great Clearwater, and after seeing the bleed on my tv in the dark, i noticed it on theirs even with all the lighting, its hard to notice but its there, their guys didn't really seem keen on dealing with it.
Their demo looks great but I have a feeling what was shown in the store is not what you get, they dont have the tv's in a dark room where you would otherwise see the bleed and you can say no thanks to that tv. Their content plus the bright lighting in the store, masks all the issues.
I have the tv for about 3 weeks now, and I am not sure what I can do. It has the latest updates. Atm they logged a call with Samsung, still awaiting a call, not too impressed with after service. Now that i am researching it a bit more, I think OLED is the way to go, or last years Samsung KS series with direct lighting, i do believe edge lit is a problem and I would honeslty steer clear of any Samsung Q series tvs.
Samsung also markets this Q Black thing which imo does nothing.
Any advice? I spent a lot of cash on this tv and i would like my moneys worth and some fairness.
I attached an image, this was taken in the day.
