Hi guys,

Got the Samsung S24B370HS for myself about 2months ago. Really nice screen, but I have a strange problem.

Whenever I put my pc in sleep mode, come back a bit later, and switch on the computer, the screen goes on for about 10 seconds, and is displaying for instance my desktop, then suddenly goes black.

To fix this, I have to switch off the monitor and switch back on every single time.

I usually run downloads, so when the screen itself goes in sleep mode, I move my mouse, it goes back online for about 3 - 5 seconds, and then goes black again.

I reset the screen to default in it's menu, tried adjusting a couple of settings, no luck.

Could this be a faulty screen, or just user related?

Are you using a DVI to HDMI cable perhaps?
If you are, then go through the menu's and you might find a PC mode setting that could fix this issue.

I got a DVI to HDMI converter on my gtx460, and then a HDMI cable to the screen. So yeah, I do more or less.

What PC mode setting are you referring to?

Okay got some advice on this, apparently my card switches off that hdmi function since it thinks its running DVI, well something like that. Just going to buy a mini hdmi to hdmi cable and it should be resolved. I would have run DVI, but the geniuses at samsung decided to only build in VGA and HDMI into the screen.

Nope, still not resolved. Basically I got a DVI adaptor on my 460, in which you can plug a hdmi cable into. Tried a couple of settings, no luck. Upgraded from the samsung 2494hs, should have rather kept the screen, this one is such a piece of crp! Nice one samsung!

Hi marchant,

Did you manage to resolve your problem yet?

I bought two of the screens and has a Gigabyte 670 OC Windforce GFX, the GFX has 1 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort and 2 DVI outputs.

Currently my 2nd monitor is on a VGA cable which is a waste.

What will the best connector be DVI -> HDMI or DisplayPort -> HDMI?

Thank you!

I have the same monitor and experiencing no issues. I am running DVI to HDMI and its working well for me. I only have puny gtx460 in, but then I dont game ;). Havent tried the connections to the motherboard though (it also has DVI)

Ah geez! Sorry for getting back now hermansteyn! :wtf:

I recently rebuilt my whole pc. Motherboards, cpu, gpu, ram, ssd, etc. Basically a brand new pc, but with the same CM690 II case.

And still not resolved, same issue, taking it back to the suppliers on Monday, luckily still under warranty.

I'm thinking I just got a bad batch.

Had a similar issue with a P2350G out of the box.

Apologies as this is an old thread

@TheMerch88
I am interested in a S24B370H but am concerned about flickering on the s24b370hs (cannot find differences between h and hs model).
Thanks
