Samsung S27A550H Recommendation?

Sorry this is my first post so I hope it is in the right place.

I have looked at this monitor, Samsung S27A550H, currently running in a Incredible Connection promotion for R3500, seems good value for money.

I would prob use it for CAD work (possibly to run two side buy side), MS Office and some gaming, potentially plug in the DSTV decoder as a second tv. Is 27" overkill? I know it's TN a panel but don't think i would spend any more cash than this. Not a big fan of the outputs, don't think there is a DVI?

Does anyone have any input / suggestions / recommendations?

27" is great as a PC monitor. I have an older 27" Samsung monitor myself at home. Just make sure it has DVI or HDMI...

27" is fine if you have the viewing distance (say 65cm+?).

TN panel is fine if colour accuracy/colour shift/viewing angles etc. aren't important.

A Dell/HP/Apple 27" ±2560x1440 would be lovely...

The S27A550H is an excellent monitor at that price. We have a few of them in the office and there have been no complaints so far.

IPS and 2560x1440 would be fantastic, but you won't get anywhere near those specs for the price of a S27A550H.

27" isn't overkill if you've got the space for it.
