Samsung S3 "CLOSE APPS" button ?

Morning all, where/how do I close recently used/open apps without the long way of going to each one in turn ?
My S7 is just one push bottom left and it's done...........

I haven't used an S3 in years, but I don't recall that there was any other way.

Strange, I used it for 4 years and am almost sure there was............when you reach my age.............

Maybe I misread your original post. You already know about (if I remember correctly) pressing one of the lower corner buttons? They are unlit until touched. Then swipe to close apps.

Ok I have it now with me.......
Bottom left brings up; Add Apps, create folder set wallpaper ,edit page, search and settings.
bottom right is only a back button...

Just to satisfy my curiosity, what does double pressing the main "home" button do?

Brings up Samsung dislaimer and then opens S voice etc...
