Hi

i cant seem to turn on my wifi on my s4 it says turning on and just stays there iv tried everything does anyone know how i can fix this its really annoying

many thanks

Clear cache in recovery. Or maybe a factory reset. Or go custom.
Omega custom rom fixed wifi issues for me.

EDIT: A little more info might also assist in helping you. Is this a new phone? Old phone? Was it working before? Is it coming on but not picking up your wifi AP?

Wiggle the phone. Hard to describe this but twist it down its length. Hold the corners and just twist it back and forth gently.

its about a year old and yes it was working today the entire day, it does not turn on at all so it stays off it just stays in "turning on wifi" the whole time the wifi icon on the pull down menu will be a light green rather than the full solid green

Same thing happened to my S2. Took it to Samsung repair centre. It turned out that the wifi chip on the motherboard was toast. To replace the motherboard would have cost me R2500 as the phone was out of warranty.

If yours is only a year old they should fix it under warranty.

You'll find your Bluetooth does the same thing. Do what I suggested.

I had the same problem on my S2 as well.

I did a foctory reset, rooted and put the same ROM on as I had before and it was perfectly fine after that.
