Samsung S5 screen replacement

Hi,

My brother just dropped his phone and is clueless on the replacement screen process (and me - I don't have a Samsung).

Simple as walking into a Samsung store?
Or booking required beforehand?
I recall something about needing to register - or automatic through IMEI where they can work on the age?

I thought it was contract life :(

Is it only the 1st year?

It's for two years on the s5. You will need a proof of ownership which you get from your .network. then it's simply just booking it in

I just went through the ADH process for an S5 screen replacement.
ADH Premium for the S5 is for 2 years, 2 instances of either water or screen damage or both.
Download the ADH Premium app from Play Store and activate it. It will tell you whether your cover is still valid or expired.

My ADH app said that it had expired for my handset, but since this should have been its last month of cover, they reinstated it on the system after I sent them my network provider's invoice.

Once that was resolved, the rest of the process was a pleasure.
Called the call-centre on 0861666646, logged a case, and they sent a courier 2 days later to swap my damaged S5 with a loan S5. Keep in mind that you retain your battery, SD card and back cover for use with the loan handset.

The screen replacement took about a week or 2, during which Samsung's repair agents called with a couple of updates.

The Samsung call centre then arranged to swap back with the courier, and my phone returned with a brand new screen, silver bezel and USB cover.
