Have this issue where if I am talking on the phone, my data stops working.

Vodacom claimed this was a limitation on my S7, but I somehow doubt it.

Has anybody encountered this and had it resolved?

I use speakerphone on my edge often while surfing/watsapping and no issues.

AFAIK this should only happen if you are connected to EDGE/GPRS. What does the connection icon show when you are talking on your phone?

Happens on some other phones as well, I always just thought it was normal and a battery saving technique.

Talk about batteries I suggest you use speakerphone, we wouldn't want an accident now would we.

Had it for 5 months no issue thus far, not even over heating. think I got a safe one.

I had this issue once apon a time when I used two sims, one for 3g dongle and one for phone. When I used the one sim, it would drop the connection of the other, and visa versa. Not quite the same, but feels similar.

Apparently with international networks, there is an option to make this work. Im curious to find out if any other S7 owners experience the same thing.

Had the same issue on vodacom where could only access data or voice never both. On my international sim could email while on a call. Ported out to Telkom and phone no longer dumbed down to vodascum levels.

Had the same behaviour on my Note 4 - never did find a fix.. (On Telkom Mobile)

I tried calling out from my Note 4 now. Call connected and still had data signal and I am on Vodascum as well.
