One of my friends want to know.

This is not going to be a helpful post.

I have a Samsung/TSSCorp drive. Bloody thing will burn dual layer DVDs and not be able to read them afterwards. Strange this is that my laptop can read those dual layer DVDs without a problem

Try this bloke who was advertising one on BoB - maybe he can get or still has one... the drives are used mostly on the Xbox 360, as they are most compatible.

I must agree with milomak - the TSSCorp drives are absolute cr@p - avoid if possible... I've replaced two on my Dell laptop already - they just don't last...
