Samsung Sim1 suddenly not allowing calls

I have a dual sim Galaxy S20 in use since July 2020 (bought from Flipphone.co.za), that suddenly started giving a "phone not allowed for voice" message, and I could not make any calls on my Vodacom sim (data works fine!!).

I tried a FNB sim, and that can make calls, however 3 Vodacom sims (2 prepaid & 1 contract could not) - so it looks like sim 1 is suddenly locked to Mtn for some reason.

I tried sim2 and I can make Vodacom calls, however then I cannot use a SD card!

Anyone experienced something like this, and is there a solution I can try?

I have. Flipphone have been very helpful and have offered to collect the phone so they can test it and send for repairs if required. Unfortunately I have banking apps for business that I will have to move first, and I will be without a phone for a while.

I opted to keep the phone for a while more and see if anything changes, and then send to them at a later time.

Vodacom mentioned that the phone is a MTN prepaid device. However looking up the IMEI online shows the device is OPEN and not locked to a operator. I might take it to a MTN shop and ask them to check.

I find it strange that a FNB SIM works, but not Vodacom.
