Samsung Smart Switch not working

Hello everyone

I need to transfer apps and data from a Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 to a Samsung A33. I installed Samsung Smart Switch on the Y9 and started the process.

First, with both phones on charge, I tried via wireless, but after a while, the connection was dropped while transferring Apps. I tried again and the same thing happened.

Then I tried using a USB C cable connection. When it got to transferring Apps, it seemed stuck at 7% with 2 hours remaining. I left the phones for 2 hours with no change. I stopped the transfer and tried again. Same thing happened. I left the phones overnight with the A33 still showing 7% with 2 hours remaining.

What other app would you recommend to easily transfer the apps and data from the Y9 to the A33 using wireless hotspot or USB C cable?

I was able to format an external 500 GB SSD drive to ExFAT and use the Backup/Restore option of Samsung Smart Switch to backup the Huawei to the SDD, and then restore the backup on the Samsung ;-)
