Gents,


Does anyone know where I can buy Samsung SSD's in South-Africa?


Reason being, I need a 7mm height SSD to fit in my notebook and all the SSD's I have found are 9.3 or 9.5mm

Specifically looking for the 820 or 830.

Aren't the Intel SSD's also 7mm. They come with that black bracket as well.

It seems that Intel drives are 7mm, with a removeable plastic adaptor that takes them to 9.5mm. I would check first before buying.

Plextor M3 Pro is also 7mm, but I don't see any stock except 512GB.

Edit: I see it has a different sized interface. You do get adapters (from $4 to $20). Could work, but I would also rather be looking for a 7mm SSD like you are doing

Tracend also has a 7mm range, the product code is SSD720 and they are available from 64GB to 256GB. ADATA will be the cheapest option though.
