Samsung Tablet for my son

The Hisense or a lenovo, I've had a few Samsung tablets and they are disappointing.

The Huawei Mediapad T1 is meh compared to the Galaxy Tab 4 and Tab E. The Super AMOLED screen is sharp and brilliant for long hours of usage whereas the Huawei will leave your eyes blurry.
The Tab 3 lag(s) when going through the menus and doing basically anything. If the Tab 4 and E don't have that, then I might consider it again.
Huawei don't do updates from what I read, which is a deal breaker for future upgrades and in Samsung's favour.

Go for the Tab E. It's a decent tab and the screen is nice enough.

For comparison, I've got a Tab S for work which costs about R7-8k, and my friends Tab E at half the price renders pdf's at the same speed.
I played with a tab E at Makro and the screen seemed quite dull.
I'm looking to upgrade my contract and looking for a 10ish inch screen but don't want to pay too much. Was considering the Tab A with S-Pen but haven't checked out the screen yet.

Yep, you are correct about the shortcomings with the Tab 3. A massively overpriced device. All of that has been corrected with the Tab 4.
