I've got a Samsung WA13V5 washing machine which spins very slowly.
The machine is 6-7 years old.
The problem was intermittent but now seem to be permanent.
But I don't think its the motor.
If I fiddle with the machine, lift the lid, or put it in spin manually it often starts to spin.
As the machine empties at the end of the last rinse, there are a couple of 'clunks' as something changes position in the drum.
The the drum turns slowly without the drain pump running.
The belt is OK, its not slipping, there are no leaks, the underside of the machine looks good, no rust, just a little dust.
I think the drain pump is related to the problem, the pump runs perfectly until the spin cycle.
So it can't be the pump or its relay on the main board. If the main motor or its cap had a problem I doubt it would spin when I fiddle with it manually.
I've not found anything on Youtube.
My thoughts are maybe a sensor telling the main board the drum is empty when its not.
This might stop the drain pump, and as the drum still contains water, the controller prevents the drum from picking up speed.
But where on earth could the sensor be ???
Can anyone offer suggestions ?
