Hi all,
I’m a Z Fold4 owner. My device has failed three times in 18 months with the same issue — screen and internal display failure. The most recent repair quote was R18,000. Samsung denied warranty, despite prior repairs.
After some investigation, I found this is a widespread issue:
I've filed complaints with both the CGSO and NCC. I'm also now coordinating with other affected users locally and globally, and monitoring emerging legal activity.
If you've had similar issues with a Fold or Flip (any model), feel free to share your experience. This may be bigger than many realise.

- 1,100+ users in Poland are preparing legal action
- A U.S. class action is underway (Lewis v Samsung)
- Hundreds of public complaints on forums, Reddit, HelloPeter, and Samsung’s own support site
- SA users are experiencing the same failures — often just outside warranty, with steep repair quotes
- Service centres acknowledge the devices are structurally vulnerable
