samsunge i780 or nokia e71

I cant give an opinion on the e71 as I have the i780. All I can say the i780 is a brilliant phone! It has all the features you would ever need and more. The QWERTY keyboard is better than the e66 which I used for a while. The battery life is not that good, but I hear that will improve with the WM 6.1 upgrade.

I have the E71 and it is by far the best phone I've ever had. I cannot think off hand of one single thing I do not like about it. I was going to leave Nokia and symbian behind but the E71 changed my mind.

Oh and the battery life is really good, from what the reviews say, best in it's class.

Nokia E71, it's the best phone I've ever owned.

The Samsung has Win Mobile right? If so then avoid like the plague!

From someone who has had both the phones, my choice would be the E71.

To me, it felt slimmer, more reliable and all round better. Call quality was better, speaker volume, keyboard and screen. The internet browser was better and it can do everything the Samsung can do!

I just find the touch screen on the samsung to be a pain.

How can I remove the battery cover once I put the battery in? Neither my dad nor myself can open it as we want to replace the battery with the spare one. Besides this everything else is great.

I have a E90 with f/w 300.34.84 and a E71 with f/w 100.07.76 , both E series phones are fine and with my extensive Nokia experience I can say that the E71 is faster than my E90.

E71 comes with a 2gb memory card in sales pack , E90 comes with a 512mb memory card.

Take note that E71 GPS when launched can just close at random , I'm busy checking for a fix as per http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38162&sid=0ef00e2ffee8586e4511f8864991620e and trying various solutions.

As a messenging device you cannot beat it , please note that the E71 does NOT run the Blackberry Connect client (no support for it as yet , who knows , perhaps Nokia and Blackberry may change their minds and release a client for it

(I use Mail 4 Exchange on both my E series phones and it works pretty well anyways)

The i780 is just too dammm big IMO, E71 is much slimmer... Still looking to get my hands on a Palm Treo Pro tho...
