Well you are allowed to receive money at the visit, which gets paid into your prison account, as well as stuff like cigarettes. Some guys also smuggle money directly from visit, and bring it back into the prison. Those that get cigarettes will sell the cigarettes, get the money and go and buy from the guys selling the stuff.

Prison's do not rehabilitate. They kill off what little piece of humanity remained in the Convict....
There is a lot more that can be done to enforce rehabilitation into most inmates, I say most, because there are some guys it just won't work on. I know what worked for me, or what lead to my change, but if the prison staff is too lazy to work, they cannot enforce change.
