So now another question, these flash memories like the USB sticks, SD and Micro SD have transfer speeds of up to 90 Mbps, SSDs with NAND flash in them have write speeds up to 550Mbps.

In the specs of a WD 500Gb standard 500Gb 7200 RPM HDD I find an internal transfer rate of 164 Mbps, so Flash memory is still slower than an old fashioned 7200 RPM spinning disc.
So no use in using them as a replacement for your HD, even as you probably have to reformat them completely differently.

Is this a stupid thought ? I am not in IT, so just a question.

The purpose of these is not to replace your HDD, but capturing pics and video on digital camera's and video recorders. You don't need 550Mbp to dump a photo to SD card.

Until you're shooting 12 FPS bursts and the buffer fills up :p

Honestly though, I'd prefer to have more speed when emptying the card to my PC.

Ja personally I'm more interested in lifespan and reliability. In my experience, micro SD cards have been the worst, and I wouldn't trust them with anything.
