I think it was just a facelift.... So they basically put lipstick on a pig to make it look kosher.

They just put glass and frames on the outside to make it look modern

Add the unshaven legs and we get 110m

There was a structure on the top, but it was much smaller. My office was in the towers until about 2 years ago. We have moved and are now located about 60m away from the new protea domed area now.

So the new one is +/- 2 meters taller?

No dude, if you look at the two pics you can see there is quite a difference. And when you compare the antenna in the after pic the the building's height it looks to be a but more. I could be very mistaken but maybe 15m?

I think taller than that....the base and structure is bigger and wider at the bottom and is more noticeable than before.

When I first saw it I thought they did it because were trying to edge out the Michaelangelo tower which always looked a bit taller because of the bowl on the top.

They didn't add any floors, only the tottie on top is different.
