SO, anyone else doing it?

I thought we all could share some tips, rants, etc

Why not? Waiting for it all to come down before you buy of something?

I've been shifting position from just over 8000th, up into the top 50, to 900th and back in the top 100 and back down again. Its nuts! I can't keep up with this ****.

Plus, this strike has to be buggering certain things up.

The JSE would be a good bet, it's pretty beaten at this stage. Once it finds it feet one can get some very nice returns. Just don't know how long it would take...
Iron is a good bet, (Kumba Iron ore mine?)

yeps, have been watching the markets for a while just want the strikes to end then gonna purchase. any idea's how many people on itrade this year?

Well with the iTrade compo you can only trade with the top100 on the JSE anyway. Kumba does look good. In fact, its at its 24month high right now which is pretty crazy.

EDIT: Just seen that they're releasing their trading statement on 21st July. It could be interesting to get in there before then.

I'm so doing this. Always wondered what I could do with a million at my disposal. I just hope my choices would gain enough by September, I'm more of a value trader :(.

I made 2 crappy choices, over bought one stock (14.21 of my portfolio) and im taking a heavy knock. Doing extra kak this year:cry:

opened account a month ago and haven't had a gap to think about it :(

I was doing well (hit the top 10 a few times) coz I started with gold, and then got out of gold when the strike ended (not thinking that obviously world news - US debt crisis etc - also affects us down here on our JSE.) So now I've just plummeted. I also made a few dodgy buys since then too and that hasn't helped.
Great fun though, totally different to my day job thats for sure.
