Sanral explains CEO salary raise

According to the report, Alli presently received a total package of R3.061m and a bonus payment of R679,000 ........Sanral’s balance sheet indicated it had an accumulated loss of R4.7bn , Beeld reported.

He was paid a bonus, that is problematic enough...

And if his salary only increase from R1.563 to R1.895, its still unacceptable. Its a 20%+ increase for a person who HASN'T done a good job.

His deliverables will have little to do with adoption and more to do with execution of other goals. Which is why you'll often see CEOs change when the company position changes. You see this often in banking and construction for example. And most conglomerates come to think of it. The board will set deliverables and often take on the responsibility in this example to deal with the political side of things.

I don't necessarily agree with it, but that's typically how it works...

Nobody here knows what his deliverables were. This is in all likelihood a contractual obligation...

If that is the case, well they better damn fast get the eToll system in play here and across the country, as they will need to generate a damn lot of money to pay him salary increases and bonuses in future...

'But.. but... All the other CEO's are getting R1 Million raises. We can't give him less. How will that look?'
Screw contractual obligations, screw deliverables. Bitch is still going to be in deep **** when e-tolling fails.

Expect a CEO change in the near future. I give it until just after elections...

Screw contractual obligations? We'll pay legal fees, further incentives for the fallout, and eventually the contracted increases and bonuses. No, I don't feel like paying those twats anything more, thanks...

If the increase was contractual, then I query the contracts that SANRAL is putting out there... but yeah, pay it and then get rid of the damn CEO at the earliest possible time you can without incurring legal fees.

Same happened with Eskom, they left the country in the dark costing us billions yet were paid out huge bonuses.

You should know by now the ANC government as a rule rewards incompetence, not excellence.

Oh yeah and they continually lie too ..

There was no argument about the quality of the national roads, the high-level engineering and the “solid administration and Sanral’s clean financial bill of health”.

Welcome to Africa, if you don't do your job and are a comrade, you get a bonus and an increase. If you work hard and keep your nose clean, you get f**ked over.

Explanation as lame as the one given about 'security upgrades' for Nkandla running into the R200mil's ..

Exact same situation though, another useless leader who was rewarded for screwing the country over.
