Being one of the pioneers of large cap ADSL accounts, we at SAOL.com believe we could soften the blow of High Priced Bandwidth in SA and still offer good value to our clients.

SAOL.com is now offering a bigger better deal to Resellers:
150 GB ADSL Shaped for only R10 000.00 per month. This is a base package and all over-usage is charged at the end of the month.

Over-Usage; any usage over and above 150 GB is charged at the end of the month at R69.00 per GIG, payment for this is due on invoice.

now a 10 gig account is 499 a month

that would be 4990 for 100 gigs
9980 for 200 gigs?

why would such a bulk account cost so much more?

Is that a joke?

Afterall, an uncapped IS DSL account is "only" R1350

Tisk tisk - they shouldnt be differentiating between shaped and unshaped anymore.

That has been there for a long time and it is for re-sellers. Not intended as a single use account. On 10Gb accounts most ISP's rely on the "hope" that users will not use their entire cap. AFAIK any ISP selling 10Gb at under the cost of +/- R55p/Gb or R550 for 10Gb is subsidising the balance if u use your entire quota.

We have many clients that resell multiple accounts - the 150 Gig option is basically a "pay per gig" system whereby the reseller can setup as many accounts in whatever denomination they require (EG 150 * 1 Gig accounts).

As James mentioned - not intended as a single use account.
