Having just activated my SAOL R499 Uncapped I am really impressed.

Anusia Chetty phoned me on Friday to confirm details and this morning I spoke to Reshmee Ramchurran to activate my connection.

Congratulations SAOL

Your admin staff are intelligent, proactive and professional.

Regards

I applied for the same account. 384 Uncapped R499 p/m.

It took SAOL less than a week to phone me back to say all was done. So excellent work from their side.

However since then my line has been down. Telkom managed to break something on the exchange. Or that's what the Telkom technician, who woke me up Sunday morning 8:45, told me.
Apparently it should be fixed today.

Just signed -waiting for one of those lovely reps to get back to me regarding activation :-)

The problem I have is:

Have an ADSL line + closer plan package, if i go over to SAOL, would my phone be disconnected???

No - I have ADSL + Closer and did the application today. I was online by the time I got home from work.

The only bad thing is that you have to pay the full amount for the month (R499) ......

Telkom fixed my line finally after 10 days.
I am getting 40 Kbps as expected. Torrents and normal traffic.
(Should test COD and other games)
I am happy so far.

Nearly 2 months later so I thought an update would be good.

The only problem I have had with SAOL is the IP range problem.

2 Or 3 times now when SAOL have had downtime my IP range gets kicked to 196.xxx.xxx.xxx from 41.xxx.xxx.xxx and my connection and downloading
is erratic and drops every few seconds.

A quick email to Neethi Chetty and this problem was rectified.

I spoke to Neethi by phone on Monday evening and she assured me that this won`t happen again.

Apart from this minor irritation I still stick to my original opinion about SAOL.

Excellent professional staff with great value for money service.

Keep it up SAOL and thanks to Neethi and staff for their dedication.
